Message	I installed ArcSDE 9.3 on Linux with Oracle. Everything seemed to go fine. However, when I tried to start the ArcSDE for the first time, I got the following error: [sde@tn-map-01 ~]$ sdemon -o start Please enter ArcSDE DBA password: Error: Can not start ArcSDE, Check for zombie process. I checked "/tmp" folder and its access rights are ok. The os details are below: [sde@tn-map-01 ~]$ uname -a Linux tn-map-01 2.6.9-67.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Nov 7 13:58:04 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Any idea about the problem? Thanks.

Message	The solution is found. The following entry should be added to /etc/hosts file: host_ip host_name e.g. 10.20.30.40 sdehost1
