||A "shapefile" is actually three files, one of which is a
dBaseIII file (.dbf extension). You cannot use ArcSDE to
"convert" a dBase file to shapefile, but you can use any
one of several ArcSDE client applications to convert a
dBase file to a database table, spatially enable that table,
then export it as a shapefile, but this assumes that the
dBase file contains enough information to construct geometry
from attributes (e.g., lat,lon or x1,y1,x2,y2 or x,y,radius).
The methodology for doing this processing would depend on
which client application(s) you have available (and requests
for assistance using one of these applications would more
properly reside in a forum devoted to that application).
