Message i want to create a geotechnical map showing the lateral and vertical extent (depth) of the geological formations especially those which are not superficial. similar maps have been published with the stripe method if anyone's familiar with that. it this possible in arcview? and if yes, how? my data are derived from borehole logs, thus from dbf files that i have to create.

Message Please see the description of the XSect extension for ArcView 3.x at http://www.quantdec.com . A complete user manual is also available for review. This software may accomplish what you want. If not, I suggest looking at some of the products listed at the bottom of http://www.quantdec.com/software/xsect
