Message	We'd like to change all the text in one field of the PAT from all-uppercase (eg DAVIS ST, SMITH AVE) to upper/lower case (eg Davis St, Smith Ave). I've done it on individual street names, using Query and Calculator, but we have too many different street names to do it that way. Is it possible to select all records in one field, then apply a formula to change all-caps to upper/lower case?

Message	Add a new field to your table [LC_Names]. Assuming your field is called [Street_Names] (both fields are string BTW) use the field calculator expression on the new field [LC_Names]= ---------------------(faking the window ares [Street_Names].LCase You can of course do this on the original field but it something goes wrong then it is all your fault and not mine :)

Message	too quick off the mark, you can also use the BasicProper request if your field contains two or more words [Street_Names].BasicProper(" ") 'space indicates word separator

Message	Hi- i'd like to do this in arcmap but don't know the syntax - anyone know it? I want to change uppercase to initial caps.

Message	Hi Kirsten, I tried this syntax in ArcMAp and it worked for me. StrConv( [NEWFIELD2] , 3) Substitute [NEWFIELD2]with your desired field name. gd
