Message Is there a way to set the property of a Map Document (MXD) to store relative path names, using Arc Objects? I see how you can test whether that property is set or not, but its a read-only proprty and it can't be changed. Is there another way? Or is it only possible to set this manually in the MXD?

I am trying to prepare a Map Document (using Arc Objects VB .Net) so that it can be shared, along with all the data in it. If possible I would like to eliminate the manual step of setting that property before sharing the document.

Thanks!
Jeremy

Message You can set IMxDocument::RelativePaths to True and save the document. If you're not in ArcMap, you can open the document via IMapDocument and call SaveAs. The second parameter is a flag used to set whether or not the document will use relative paths.
