Message I am trying to export a georeferenced image from ENVI as an ESRI GRID but when I open it in ArcMap the projection is lost. When I export it as *.img or anything else it works, but it is rotated the wrong way as ESRI GRID??? thanks

Message GRIDs often use the ArcInfo workstation format to store the coordinate system information. It's much more restrictive that the general ArcGIS (really, projection engine) format. It's possible that whatever the data's in, is just not supported in the workstation format.

Can you post the coordinate system information from the ENVI image? Or what it is when you export it as a different format?

Thanks,
Melita

Message Thanks for getting back to me. I finally got it to work by first rotating the data in ENVI and then exporting as an ESRI GRID.
Thanks again.
