Subject Sort field on domain description instead of code

Message I have an attribute field which is controlled by a domain. I know how to switch the appearance between displaying the coded value and the description. What I'm trying to do now is sort the table records by the description. However, it always sorts based on the code, even when the description is visible. Does anyone have a fix?
