Message Address Management tool is available for download at the Address Data Model web page (http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=downloads.dataModels.filteredGateway&dmid=32).

It is the same tool that was demonstrated at the Address Data Models technical workshop at the 2006 ESRI User Conference, prepared for ArcGIS® 9.1.

The tool comes with the US-oriented address data model template (XML export file), data model specific locators and geocoding rules, as well as the brief user guide.

Please give it a try.

Note: ESRI technical support is not available for this tool. However, your feedback will be very much appreciated. Please post your comments, suggestions and ideas at this discussion forum.

Message I am also unable to import our centreline file. I have tried importing from featureclass, shapefile, sde and created a file with just the mandatory fields and still no luck.

Has anyone had any success?

Message I tried Jason's data so far and found that for centerline import all left/right fields (house ranges, zip, city) must be specified, even though they look like optional in UI (it is really a bug). As Jason's data does not ZIP information, nothing is mapped to ZIP and the import process fails. I also see that Matt's data don't have ZIP as well.

Before there is a fix, as a workaround you can create an extra empty field and map missing left/right fields (Zipcode in this case) to it.

Message Bruce,

we will have 9.2 version of the tool shortly. It will have the same functionality as 9.1 version, but will be compiled for .NET 2.0 and have minor differences reflecting new 9.2 features (for instance, it will account for high precision spatial references).

Message Address Management tool for ArcGIS 9.2 is available for download at the Address Data Model web page (http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=downloads.dataModels.filteredGateway&dmid=32).

It is compatible with .NET2.0 framework used by ArcGIS 9.2. The new version of the tool also fixes minor bugs discussed on this forum.

Please make sure to read "New at 9.2 version" in the Install and User Guide supplied with the tool.

Please report issues and post comments on this forum - as always, we need your feedback!

Thanks,

Message Chris,

the pgdb you're using, was it created with 9.2? If not, then you need to upgrade it to 9.2 (right click, Properties, Upgrade Geodatabase).

Message When attempting to import a street centerline with address ranges (left/right, from/to) with zip and zone into the Address data model using AMT 9.2 I cannot proceed after the field selection window because the Next button is greyed out. Also no drop down selections are available for the right side address range. What have I done wrong? Attached is a screen shot.

Message Aaron,

The Type field is specified as "Required" (all required fields are shown in bold face). You don't have "Type" field mapping specified, therefore the tool does not let you to proceed.

If for some reson you don't have (or don't need) the "Type" field, you can change that field to "not required" by loading the ADMSettings table in ArcMap and set values in the "Required" field to zero for all records that have "Type" as their values for the "Title" field.

The ADMSetting table can be found in your Address Data Model workspace (if you already imported some data), or default ADMSettings is stored in \AddressManagementTool92\Settings\ADMSettings.mdb.

Your second question: Address Data Model stores addresses in so-called "Nickel" format, which uses only "From" and "To" house ranges, and "Side" attribute (vs. DIME, which uses "LeftFrom","LeftTo","RightFrom","RightTo").
The tool converts DIME records to Nickel - that's why you see two destination house range fields, not four.

Message Sergey,

We have been trying to use the 9.1 tool for address checks in our E911 system. We have not been able to get a successful run of the software as we have centerlines that follow the USAddress scheme, but ouor parcel based data contains the house number and street name in a single field. Is there a way to get this tool to support thisa type of data configuration?

Message Jeff,

in order to be brought in the Address Data Model, all addressable features should be in the same format, i.e. there has to be consistent representation of street names, addresses and zones.

You can run Standardize Addresses geoprocessing tool to standardize the parcel addresses feature class, and then load the result using the ADM tool.
